Excerpt 2: ZP:AAS

Another excerpt from another novella-in-progress, this time set in the old west...

"Somewhere a root dug ever-so-slowly deeper, creeping out its life path. Something blinked.
The stars edgelight cut like diamond to a pane, and, for a second, the inside of your very skull roared up and on to heaven, the soul struggling up, then settling, moving calmly as a jelly in the deep...
His knuckles were thoroughly scratched, a grimy intaglio of red and pink and white, dust and dirt and blood, their domes like tiny boiled quail eggs, innocent sustenance- his stomach slowly looped back on itself in one-quarter tactus, a cracking whip under heavy mud and that most primal state, sustained hunger..."

TBP excerpt: "Ken Zen Ichi Nyo"

Here's an excerpt from one of my novella's-in-progress, TBP :

"The sudden rain created tendrils under the door, rivulets racing to expand only to sink into the absorbent dirt floor: a light-grey Yamori,  a Gecko-like lizard, with its body tense and its nostrils tuned to a flood of new smells released by the downpour, sheltered under the edge of the Genkan entrance step; somewhere a siren: the middle-aged officers' voice asking people to please move out of the way, be careful, we have to get through.....a fire after rain."

My copy for Fumio Nabata's 'Be Loved' exhibition, NY.

My copy, title and titling for photographer Fumio Nabata's NY exhibition 'Be Loved'.
"The happiness felt by many seeing children’s innocent smiles, watching them grow up, their countenance when they are absorbed in what they are interested in, and their vivid expressions when they challenge themselves with a new, adventurous thing; Mr. Nabata is deeply moved by these very young minds that are unconsciously growing up day by day. Deriving inspiration from all these things, these delightful moments make us realize what is really valuable and inspires Mr. Nabata to try and capture them.

New lives are born, are watched over and grow up through the culturally important and colorful seasons of Japan, and some unique seasonal events and festivities of Japan are exhibited in Mr. Nabata’s photos here.

GREAT stuff

This is a really, really, really great article! I hope it spreads everywhere in the business world, would make things a lot easier for everyone frankly....
"Some business owners try to economise by doing their own designing, copywriting, etc. But without the required specialist skills, those amateur efforts only project a business image that is, well, amateurish.
Put simply, a professional result begins with a professional touch.
Eventually, that kitchen table logo and copy will have to be changed, so why not project an impressive image right from the start?"
